Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a Registered Nurse - Operating Room for a full-time weekend shift in the Surgical Services Department. Nurses provide care before, during, and after surgery, with collaboration across Pre-Op, Postoperative, and Endoscopy teams.

Candidates must have Kentucky RN licensure, BLS, ACLS/PALS/NRP, and a minimum of one year of OR experience. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified individuals.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Kentucky or work permit
• BLS certification required, obtain within 30 days if not already certified
• ACLS and PALS/NRP per department requirements
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse
• Bachelor's or ADN from an accredited college/university

Responsabilités

• Assess patients' needs and develop care plans
• Provide direct patient care during perioperative phases
• Manage patient care delivery and prioritize tasks
• Supervise and delegate to Patient Care Techs, LPNs, Unit Secretaries, and students
• Demonstrate leadership skills and support quality care
• Participate in on-call rotation weekends/holidays

Description:

• Assessment of patients' needs.
• Development of patient care plan/s

• Operating Room Nurses provide care and support to patients before, during and after surgery.

• Must possess ability to supervise and delegate appropriate work to Patient Care Techs, Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Secretaries, and Students.

Requirements:

• Current RN licensure and work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited College/university.
• Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor's degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
