Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a Registered Nurse - OR to join our Surgical Services team. The role is full-time, first shift, in an operating room setting with weekends/holidays on call by rotation.

You will provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative care in a busy facility with 20 operating rooms and a comprehensive perioperative program. The position requires Kentucky RN licensure, a nursing degree (BSN preferred), BLS certification within 30 days of hire, and ACLS/PALS/NRP as required.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure and work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• BLS certification is required. If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.

Baptist Health Lexington Surgical Services Department encompasses several key areas: the Pre-Op Department, 20 operating rooms with a business office staff responsible for scheduling, a Postoperative Care Unit, an Endoscopy Department with dedicated pre- and post-op areas, and a Sterile Processing Department.

Registered Nurse-OR Requirements

• Current RN licensure and work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor's degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
