Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse - Operating Room for the full-time second shift. The Charge Nurse coordinates the daily activities of the Surgery unit and collaborates with Preop/PACU to optimize patient flow. As a RN, you will implement the nursing process for each patient under your care.

Requires ADN, KY RN licensure, ACLS and BLS, plus at least one year of experience. CNOR and supervisory experience preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• ADN degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted RN licensure in Kentucky required.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.

Full-Time Second Shift

The Charge Nurse is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the Surgery unit. The Charge Nurse works closely with the Preop/PACU to ensure patient flow efficiencies. Also, as a Registered Nurse, implements the nursing process for each patient assigned to his/her care.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• A minimum of one year of relevant job-related experience is required.
• Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent experience in specialty preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience and CNOR.
