Job summary

Ascension Seton Cedar Park is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Services team in Cedar Park, Texas. You will perform scrub and circulating duties, assist the surgeon, and prepare rooms and equipment for procedures.

The role requires a nursing diploma or licensure and certifications such as ACLS/BLS. Expect a 40-hour week across multiple shifts with comprehensive benefits and supportive professional development.

Qualifications

• Certified Registered Nurse with licensure prior to hire.
• ACLS or BLS certification required within the defined window from hire date.
• Diploma from accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub functions including selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
• Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
• Directly assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
• Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.

Gross Rate up to $2,713 per week

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • Certified Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following:
    • Certified Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • Certified BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
