Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin in Austin, TX is seeking a Full-time Night Shift Nurse in Oncology to join a dedicated team providing evidence-based patient care. The role emphasizes care planning, real-time condition monitoring, and coordinated multidisciplinary care to optimize patient outcomes.

The Position requires a nursing diploma, Texas RN licensure, and BLS certification within 30 days; chemotherapy certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date.
• Chemotherapy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care Planning: Implement and track customized, evidence-based patient care plans.
• Condition Monitoring: Record and communicate real-time clinical changes to the team.
• Interdisciplinary Lead: Coordinate multidisciplinary care to ensure seamless patient outcomes.
• Order Execution: Precisely carry out physician and nursing directives with clinical accuracy.
• Transition Strategy: Manage discharge planning to ensure safe and successful patient transitions.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certification specializing in Chemotherapy preferred.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
