Job summary

Premise Health in Blue Springs, MS, is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for Occupational Health to provide care for client employees at our Health Center.

The role features flexible, as-needed night shifts (10 PM–6:30 AM) with an emphasis on injury care, screenings, and coordinating return-to-work processes.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree or certificate from an accredited school; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice required.
• COHN/COHN-S, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management certification preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required depending on contract scope.
• At least three years’ RN experience in occupational health, ER, or ambulatory care.
• Experience promoting healthy, safe workplaces and return-to-work exams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for clinical operations and manage required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.).
• Evaluate, treat, and prioritize patient care within scope of practice.
• Deliver evidence-based care to injured workers and coordinate case management with the TPA and client.
• Implement transitional duty programs for injured workers.
• Perform and document medical tests and screenings (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Administer medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice.
• Maintain medical equipment, ensure a clean and safe environment, and follow infection control procedures.
• Maintain patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
• Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow-up care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and departments on health programs and injury prevention.
• Assist with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a PRN Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Blue Springs, MS. The scheduled hours areas needed night shift- 10PM-6:30AM.This PRN opportunity is ideal for an RN looking for flexible, supplemental hours in an occupational health setting.

What You’ll Do

• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)

• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
• Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic
• Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including: partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work exams.
