Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick is seeking to join our Inpatient Medical Surgical Float Pool. This RN role supports a rotating schedule with primary 7p-7a and 7a-7p shifts, including weekends and holidays.

As a Registered Nurse, you will perform IV placements, blood draws, Foley care, and manage drains while collaborating with LPNs, PCNAs, and providers across units such as Oncology, Telemetry, and Post-Surgical. We offer strong benefits and OPERS retirement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current RN licensure in Ohio (state of hire).
• BLS for Healthcare Providers or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• IV placement, blood draws, Foley catheter care and removal.
• Tracheostomy care, NG placement, PEG tube, drains, wound care.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: primary 7p-7a, secondary 7a-7p; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population:

• Variety of complex medical disorders

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• IV placement, blood draws, foley catheter insertion/removal
• Tracheostomy care, NG placement, PEG tube, various drains, wound care
• Time management, critical thinking, and delegating

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, WOCN

Units RN will float:

• Oncology, Telemetry, Post-Surgical, Orthopedic, Trauma Step Down, General Medicine

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
• 1 year of inpatient RN experience
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN
• Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
