Job summary
AdventHealth in East Orlando, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift position. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and adjust care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and coordinate with the care team while documenting all care in the medical record.
The ideal candidate holds an RN license in Florida, with BLS/ACLS/PALS typically required, and 1+ year of acute care experience.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Active Registered Nurse license in Florida or eligible
- ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications typically required for critical care settings
- 1+ acute care hospital experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors
- Develop and implement individualized care plans and update as needed
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care
- Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure effective communication
- Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record
