Job summary

Ascension is seeking a part-time NICU RN for the Saint Thomas Midtown facility in Nashville, TN. The role focuses on implementing care plans, coordinating interdisciplinary care, and ensuring timely documentation and execution of physician orders.

Minimum qualifications include an RN license (TN or compact), BLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation certification, with NICU experience preferred. This position emphasizes patient-centered discharge planning and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation credential required within 6 months of hire.
• TN Board of Nursing RN license or multi-state Compact license required.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
