Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus - Glick seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Neuroscience Center, 6 West, in a 24-bed neuro unit. You will perform detailed neurological assessments, monitor ICP, titrate medications, and manage drains, ventilators, temperature control, and CRRT for stroke and brain injury patients.

Qualifications include Ohio RN license, graduate from an accredited nursing program, and BLS. BSN and Magnet certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population:

• Adult
• Ischemic/Hemorrhagic Strokes
• Status Epilepticus
• Encephalitis
• Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
• Intracranial Hemorrhage
• Stroke
• Minor Neurological Disorders

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• Detailed Neurological assessments
• ICP Monitoring
• Medication titration
• Managing surgical drains, mechanical ventilators, body temperature, & CRRT

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Respiratory Therapy, Social Work, Speech Therapy, PT, OT, Dietary

Number of beds on unit:

• 24 beds
