MetroHealth Main Campus - Glick is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Neuroscience Center on 6 West. The role emphasizes detailed neurological assessments, ICU-level neuro care, and telemetry monitoring for adult stroke patients.

Ideal candidates hold Ohio RN licensure, BLS, and preferably a BSN, with benefits including tuition reimbursement and certification incentives. Rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed neurological assessments.
• Monitor patients with ICP, ventilators, and telemetry.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.

Primary Patient Population

• Adult
• Ischemic/Hemorrhagic Strokes
• Status Epilepticus
• Encephalitis
• Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
• Intracranial Hemorrhage
• Stroke
• Minor Neurological Disorders

Primary skills utilized/learned

• Detailed Neurological assessments
• ICP Monitoring
• Medication titration
• Managing surgical drains, mechanical ventilators, body temperature, & CRRT
• Neurological patient care; NIHSS Certification for Stroke care
• Telemetry monitoring
• Time management, critical thinking, delegating
• Seizure disorder monitoring/ care

Personnel RN will work with

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Respiratory Therapy, Social Work, Speech Therapy, PT, OT, Dietary

Required Qualifications
