Job summary

Ascension in Round Rock, Texas is seeking a dedicated RN to join the Mother Baby unit on the night shift. Provide direct nursing care following established policies to ensure safe, quality outcomes for newborns and families.

You will implement and monitor care plans, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, document patient progress, and assist with discharge planning. Requires RN license, BLS, and neonatal resuscitation certification preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire.
• Registered Nurse with current license.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Certification preferred.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient's condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
