Job summary

Ascension's Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a Nurse Leader to oversee daily operations in the Pediatric MultiSpeciality Clinic.

You will lead and develop the team, supervise workflows and resources, address care challenges, and manage the unit budget to deliver high‑quality patient care within regulatory standards.

This role requires a TX RN license, a Bachelor’s in Nursing, and 3 years of experience with at least 1 year in leadership.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire date or transfer date required (AHA or Red Cross accepted).
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations: supervise workflows, nursing activities, and unit resources to ensure smooth patient care.
• Guide and develop the team: hiring, training, supervision, ongoing development, and performance reviews.
• Solve care challenges: identify and address issues impacting quality or delivery of patient care.
• Manage the budget: oversee spending, approvals, and ensure regulatory standards and financial goals are met.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.

Work Experience:

• 3 years of experience required.
• 1 year of leadership or management experience required.
