Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Mother Baby department on a night shift, PRN schedule. You will implement and monitor care plans, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and execute physician and nursing orders to support patient discharge planning.

Minimum requirements include an active Florida RN license, BLS within 30 days of hire, and a Diploma in Nursing. One year of RN experience is preferred and Ascension offers 403(b) and EAP programs.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences

• One (1) year of Registered Nurse experience.
