Job summary

Memorial Physician Practices in Sanford, North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Medical/Surgical team. This role involves performing patient assessments, initiating nursing interventions, and providing care based on patient conditions. The successful candidate will have a commitment to exceptional patient care and will work on the night shift, with a rotating weekend schedule.

The position includes a $20,000 commitment bonus, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional development. A current RN license in North Carolina is required.

Qualifications

  • Current North Carolina state RN license or compact state RN license.
  • One year of RN experience in a health care setting is preferred.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
  • Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Document medical necessity and care appropriately.
  • Complete revisions of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.

Schedule: 3 x 12 hr. shifts per week on the Night Shift (7p - 7a) + rotating weekends

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse who excels in this role:

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current North Carolina state or compact state RN license. Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS is required within 90 days of hire
  • Associate's degree in nursing is required (Bachelor's degree is preferred)
  • One year of RN experience in a health care setting is preferred
