Haywood Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PCU/Telemetry unit on a 3x12 night shift. Weekends and holidays required, with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio in a 22-bed unit.

The role includes bedside assessments, interventions, and interdisciplinary care planning, with opportunities for professional growth and a $20,000 sign-on bonus for night-shift commitment.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina or compact state RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• AHA BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire.
• Preferred: one year of experience.
• Must have critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.

Job Type: Full Time | Days/Nights

Sign-On Bonus

$20,000 Sign-On Bonus for Night Shift with a 2-year commitment for eligible candidates.

Schedule

3x12s, night shift (7p-7a). Weekends and Holidays required.

Join our team in a 22-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. The unit staff includes RNs, CNAs, Telemetry Techs, and unit secretaries, providing specialized care for patients primarily diagnosed with respiratory failure and cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
