Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast in Miramar Beach, FL, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Med Surg team on Day shift (PRN available). You will collaborate across disciplines to deliver patient-centered care and ensure smooth care transitions with discharge planning.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, BLS certification, and a Diploma from an accredited nursing program. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth within Ascension's Catholic health system.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing prior to hire date.
• BLS Provider or Instructor certification obtained within 1 month of hire.
• Active Florida RN license or multi-state license recognized.

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• One or more of the following:
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
