Job summary

Ascension's St. Vincent's Southside Hospital in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Nights-Shift, full-time Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting.

You will implement care plans, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and execute physician and nursing orders to support optimal outcomes. Discharge planning leadership ensures safe transitions for every patient.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• Florida Board of Nursing-licensed RN required prior to hire.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care following clinical standards and protocols.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams; monitor patient status and document progress.
• Execute physician and nursing orders; act as a liaison in clinical decision-making.
• Lead discharge planning with the care team to ensure safe patient transitions.

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by following established clinical standards and evidence-based protocols.
• Drive the implementation of patient care plans, proactively monitoring status and documenting progress to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Act as the primary coordinator for multidisciplinary teams, facilitating seamless communication and well-integrated treatment.
• Execute physician and nursing orders with precision, serving as a critical link in the clinical decision-making process.
• Lead the discharge planning process in collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure a safe and successful transition for every patient.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
