Job summary

Ascension Winchester is seeking a registered nurse to join the Medical Surgical department for full-time night shifts. You will implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and carry out physician and nursing orders in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

The role requires Indiana RN licensure, BLS either with hire, and a nursing diploma. Join a supportive team with opportunities for growth and advancement within Ascension.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing prior to hire.
• BLS Provider or Instructor certification within 30 days of hire.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans; records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

What minimum qualifications you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following:
    • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
