Job summary

Ascension in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced OR nurse to support the surgical team in the Main OR. The role involves scrubbing, circulating, and assisting the operating physician with surgical tasks, including hemostasis, suturing, and patient positioning.

Eligible candidates hold an Indiana RN license, an ACLS or BLS certification, and a Diploma in Nursing. Prior OR experience is required, with full-time daytime shifts available at Ascension St. Vincent.

• Directly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure and patient positioning.
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.
