Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo is seeking a Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant to join the Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum team in Kokomo, Indiana.

This full-time, days-shift role focuses on guiding new parents through personalized lactation assessments and teaching techniques to support feeding goals. You will act as a clinical lactation advocate, collaborating with nurses and physicians to ensure cohesive care, contribute to outcome-tracking tools, and develop clear educational

• RN license from ANCC or Indiana Board of Nursing within 12 months of hire date.

• Serve as the clinical lactation advocate, bridging communication between nurses and physicians to ensure seamless, cohesive support for mothers and infants.
• Drive quality care standards by contributing to outcome-tracking tools that directly elevate unit-wide feeding success rates.
• Develop clear patient educational materials that translate clinical guidance into accessible, easy-to-understand resources for transitioning families home.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• One or more of the following required:
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
• Certification specializing in Lactation preferred.
• Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
