Ascension's Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville seeks a Lactation Educator to assess, plan, implement and evaluate educational activities for new families and staff. The role collaborates with nurse managers and units to identify learning needs and ensures evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities include developing educational plans and materials, keeping records and reporting on outcomes. The educator may serve hospital-wide and community programs, with duties aligned to adult learning

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted preferred.
• Educator specializing in Childbirth preferred.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
