Ascension in Milwaukee, WI, invites you to join the Labor and Delivery team as a Night shift, Full-time RN. You will provide direct nursing care, implement patient care plans, and coordinate discharge planning to ensure safe, effective transitions.

The position requires Wisconsin RN licensure and BLS, with opportunities for ongoing professional development within a faith-based, mission-driven health system that values service, growth, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from Wisconsin Board of Nursing before hire date or multi-state/Compact State license.

• Provide direct nursing care, implementing patient care plans per policies and orders.
• Monitor, record, and communicate changes in patient condition to the healthcare team.
• Act as the primary coordinator across all disciplines to ensure seamless, well-managed patient care.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
