Job summary

Ascension in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Burn Unit/ICU. This full-time rotating schedule role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

You will implement and monitor care plans, assess patient status, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and ensure accurate physician and nursing orders are carried out. Discharge planning with the healthcare team is also part of the role.

Qualifications

• Advanced Life Support certification (ALS) required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire.
• Registered Nurse credentialed by Wisconsin Board of Nursing prior to hire or multi-state/compact license.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition.
• Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
