Job Overview

This role is considered the minimum for all nurses at UMMC with over 12 months of experience. The nurse will be competent in required skills, participate in unit governance, and adhere to the UMMC Professional Nurse Job Charter. Responsibilities include providing and coordinating patient care within a clinical specialty, participating as a team member, and demonstrating professional nursing practice. The nurse is accountable to patients and families for care outcomes and to peers and managers for performance and practice development.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland RN licensure or eligibility via Compact agreements.
• Successful completion of probation and mandatory training.
• Maintain 10 contact hours of education annually.
• Membership in a professional organization.
• Recent clinical experience in a comparable setting.

Compensation
