Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Medicine Ambulatory Surgery Centers in Nottingham, MD are seeking an experienced OR RN for day shift duties (Mon–Fri, 40 hrs). You will care for patients undergoing gender affirming care, facial reconstruction, breast and abdominal surgeries, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia in a fast-paced OR environment.

Maryland or Compact RN license is required, with at least 6 months of recent RN experience and Preop/PACU exposure.

Qualifications

• RN with active Maryland or Compact license at time of hire.
• Minimum 6 months of recent RN experience; Preop PACU experience required.
• BSN from an accredited program preferred; ADN may be considered with matriculation into a BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients undergoing gender affirming care and various surgeries in OR.
• Support OR circulating duties and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
• Coordinate with surgical team, anesthesia, and post-anesthesia care.

Weekly working hours: Monday-Friday 40-hours/week w/8-hour shifts w/staggered start times between 7am-5:30pm - No weekends, no holidays and no on-call

The Johns Hopkins White Marsh Surgery Center,

the OR RN's care for patients undergoing gender affirming care, facial reconstruction, breast surgery, abdominal surgery. Colorectal, Gastroenterology, Opthalmology, orthopedic and plastic surgery in addition to pain management procedures. The OR RN applicant should have recent and diverse OR circulating experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months recent RN experience required; Preop PACU experience required
• BSN from Accredited Nursing Program preferred, but applicants with an associate degree in nursing will be considered. Per nursing guidelines, must matriculate into a BSN program
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required at time of hire

Salary Range

Minimum $39.64/hour - Maximum $61.45/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
