Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking an OR RN for our Johns Hopkins White Marsh Surgery Center in Nottingham, MD. The role supports gender affirming, facial reconstruction, breast, abdominal, colorectal, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, orthopedic and plastic surgery procedures in the OR.

Minimum 6 months OR RN experience; BSN preferred; Maryland license required. Schedule includes PRN Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts with no weekends, holidays, or on-call; on-site parking provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months recent Operating Room RN experience required.
• BSN preferred, but ASN considered with matriculation into BSN program.
• Maryland RN license required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients undergoing gender affirming and various surgical procedures in the OR.
• Assist circulating nurse and ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical team to support efficient operating room flow.

Weekly working hours: PRN Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts w/staggered start times between 7am-5:30pm - No weekends, no holidays and no on-call (minimum of 4 8-hour shifts in a 6-week schedule required)

At The Johns Hopkins White Marsh Surgery Center, the OR RN's care for patients undergoing gender affirming care, facial reconstruction, breast surgery, abdominal surgery. Colorectal, Gastroenterology, Opthalmology, orthopedic and plastic surgery in addition to pain management procedures. The OR RN applicant should have recent and diverse OR circulating experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months recent Operating Room RN experience required; 1 year recent OR RN experience preferred, and scrub experience a plus
• BSN from Accredited Nursing Program preferred, but applicants with an associate degree in nursing will be considered. Per nursing guidelines, must matriculate into a BSN program
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required at time of hire

Salary Range: Minimum $53.07/hour - Maximum $53.07/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
