Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking an OR Registered Nurse at The Johns Hopkins White Marsh Surgery Center in Nottingham, MD. This casual/on-call role involves day shifts with a PRN schedule, no weekends or holidays, and a minimum of four 8-hour shifts across six weeks.

The OR RN will care for patients undergoing gender-affirming, facial, breast, abdominal, colorectal, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, orthopedic and plastic surgery procedures, requiring recent and diverse OR circulating experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months recent Operating Room RN experience required.
• 1 year OR RN experience preferred; scrub experience a plus.
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide operating room circulating care for patients.
• Support gender affirming, facial, breast, and other surgical procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and assist the surgical team as needed.

Weekly working hours: PRN Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts w/staggered start times between 7am-5:30pm - No weekends, no holidays and no on-call (minimum of 4 8-hour shifts in a 6-week schedule required)

At The Johns Hopkins White Marsh Surgery Center, the OR RN's care for patients undergoing gender affirming care, facial reconstruction, breast surgery, abdominal surgery. Colorectal, Gastroenterology, Opthalmology, orthopedic and plastic surgery in addition to pain management procedures. The OR RN applicant should have recent and diverse OR circulating experience.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 months recent Operating Room RN experience required; 1 year recent OR RN experience preferred, and scrub experience a plus


• BSN from Accredited Nursing Program preferred, but applicants with an associate degree in nursing will be considered. Per nursing guidelines, must matriculate into a BSN program


• Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required at time of hire

Salary Range: Minimum $53.07/hour - Maximum $53.07/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
