Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking an OR Registered Nurse for The Johns Hopkins White Marsh Surgery Center in Nottingham, MD. This full-time position features day shifts Monday to Friday with 7:00 AM–5:30 PM start windows, no weekends or on-call, and a supportive benefits package.

The OR RN will assist in diverse surgical cases including gender-affirming, facial, breast, abdominal, colorectal, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, orthopedic and plastic procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months recent RN experience
• Recent OR circulating experience required
• Scrub experience preferred
• BSN preferred, ADN considered; must matriculate into BSN

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in the OR across gender-affirming, facial, breast, abdominal, colorectal, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, orthopedic and plastic surgery cases
• Assist with circulating and scrub roles as needed
• Maintain patient safety and documentation per perioperative standards

Weekly working hours: Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts w/staggered start times between 7am-5:30pm - No weekends, no holidays and no on-call

At The Johns Hopkins White Marsh Surgery Center, the OR RN's care for patients undergoing gender affirming care, facial reconstruction, breast surgery, abdominal surgery. Colorectal, Gastroenterology, Opthalmology, orthopedic and plastic surgery in addition to pain management procedures. The OR RN applicant should have recent and diverse OR circulating experience. Scrub experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months recent RN experience required; Recent OR circulating experience required; scrub experience preferred


• BSN from Accredited Nursing Program preferred, but applicants with an associate degree in nursing will be considered. Per nursing guidelines, must matriculate into a BSN program


• Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required at time of hire

Salary Range: Minimum $39.64/hour - Maximum $61.45/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
