Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Neuro Trauma ICU to join a dedicated team in Pensacola, FL. You will implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinating care across disciplines and documenting orders to ensure smooth, safe treatment.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, BLS, and a Diploma in Nursing, with Advanced Life Support preferred. Prior ICU experience is a plus and discharge planning will involve collaboration with the health care team.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Florida RN license required (compact state license acceptable).
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program required.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans and communicates patient condition.
• Acts as primary coordinator of multidisciplinary care for well-coordinated patient treatment.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Preferred Credential(s):

• Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
