Job summary

Cedar Park Regional Medical Center in the Austin metro area is seeking ICU nurses to support multiple locations with rotating PRN shifts. You will deliver direct, high‑quality patient care across diverse ICU units, adhere to organizational protocols, and serve as a key link for care coordination among the healthcare team.

This role requires a nursing diploma, current RN licensure, and certifications (BLS and ACLS).

Qualifications

• Two years of recent acute ICU nursing experience.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure at hire.
• Current RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality direct patient care across ICU units.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and orders.
• Coordinate patient care and communication among disciplines.

Job description

Your future role at a glance

• Location: Will float across various locations in the Austin, TX Metro area
• Department: ICU Nurse Staffing
• Schedule: Rotating l PRN
• Pay: $60 per hour

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate direct patient care across diverse specialty units in adherence to all established organizational protocols.
• Implement and continuously monitor patient care plans, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of physician and nursing orders.
• Coordinate all aspects of a patient's journey by serving as the central link for communication and assessment among all disciplines within the healthcare team.
• Communicate and meticulously record all patient conditions, observations, and interventions to ensure a seamless, well-coordinated care plan.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • Certified BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certified Advanced Life Support . American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certified Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • Certified Advanced Life Support . American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certified Pediatric Advanced Life Support . American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
• Minimum of two years of recent acute care ICU nursing experience demonstrating clinical competency across diverse, high-acuity patient populations.
• Proven ability to successfully navigate and provide autonomous direct care in a multi-unit, float, or resource team environment.
