Job summary

Ascension Seton Cedar Park Medical Center in Cedar Park, TX seeks a Registered Nurse for ICU night shift. Full-time 36 hours weekly, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., rotating weekends. You will provide direct patient care, monitor care plans, and coordinate discharge with a multidisciplinary team.

Required: Texas RN license, ACLS, BLS, and new graduate eligibility. Preferred: 1 year critical care experience. Strong EHR documentation and teamwork are essential.

How You'll Make An Impact In This Role

• Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse (RN), following established clinical protocols to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
• Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans, adjusting interventions to support recovery and clinical goals.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition changes to the interdisciplinary team for coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Execute physician and nursing orders accurately while maintaining compliant and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR).
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

What Additional Preferences We're Seeking

• 1 year previous critical care experience preferred.
