Job summary

Ascension St John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Full-time Night Shift RN for the Cardiovascular ICU. You’ll lead nursing teams, coordinate staffing, and ensure high quality patient care across the unit.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Oklahoma and BLS certification.

• Direct and educate nursing and support staff on assigned shifts.
• Plan shift dynamics and patient care delivery based on daily flow.
• Assess patient care needs and manage staffing to meet productivity standards.
• Address patient care concerns through established channels.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Elevating Patient Care & Quality:Coordinate unit staffing and provide inspirational leadership to ensure the consistent implementation of clinical objectives and the highest quality patient care across your assigned specialty area(s), such as Emergency/Triage, Critical Care (Adult or Peds/Neonatal), or Labor & Delivery.
• Empowering the Team:Lead, direct, educate, and monitor the performance of nursing and support associates during your assigned shifts, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous development.
• Strategic Resource Management:Apply independent judgment to plan shift dynamics, service delivery, and comprehensive patient care, while setting priorities that adapt to the daily flow of patient and physician needs.
• Operational Excellence:Assess daily patient care requirements, develop appropriate assignments, and manage staffing schedules to maintain productivity standards, providing justification for any necessary variances.
• Cultivating a Positive Environment:Facilitate the efficient availability of necessary materials and resources, and manage patient care complaints through established, supportive channels.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
