Job summary

SoftPath Medical is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical ICU team. The role involves caring for gastrointestinal and carotid ICU patients, with an emphasis on dysrhythmia management and multi-system organ failure care. Weekend shifts are required, and there is a flexible, varying schedule with limited on-call duties.

Candidates should have ACLS/BCLS certifications and at least 2 years of ICU experience. NIH certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years ICU nursing experience.
• ACLS and BCLS required; NIH preferred.
• First-time ICU nurses are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Care for patients with multi-system organ failure
• Pre- and post-cardiac catheterization/intervention care
• Management of IV insulin protocols
• Care for gastrointestinal surgery patients
• Management of chronic and acute renal failure
• Arterial line management
• Administration of blood products
• Care and management of central and PICC lines
• Continuous IV sedation administration
• Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Management of BiPAP and CPAP
• Care of ventilated patients including HFNC
• Interpretation of ABGs
• Suctioning and ventilator management
• Infection prevention and isolation procedures, including PPE

Shift Details

Guaranteed hours:

• 8 and 10-hour shifts: 40 hours per week
• Three 12-hour shifts: 36 hours per week
• Four 12-hour shifts: 48 hours per week
