Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in New Jersey to join our Jersey Shore University Medical Center team. You will collect comprehensive patient data, perform age-appropriate assessments, and recognize changes in condition to guide care.

You will develop and coordinate patient/family centered plans, communicate with the care team, and provide essential education while adhering to evidence-based practice and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• Active BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg/Tele RN experience is required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs with strong teamwork and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation.
• Performs age and disease specific assessments in a systematic manner.
• Recognizes clinical status changes and documents events.
• Develops a plan of care with patient/family goals based on assessments.
• Coordinates and communicates the plan of care with the health team.
• Provides patient/family education and ensures understanding.
• Administers medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
