Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in New Jersey to join our team at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. You will deliver evidence-based nursing care, communicate with the health care team, administer medications with bar-scanning tech, and document care in electronic systems.

Ideal candidates have NJ RN licensure, BLS/CPR, and at least 6 months of experience or are in the HMH Nurse Residency program.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum of 6 months of nursing experience or active participant in Nurse Residency program.
• Critical care nursing experience preferred.
• ACLS preferred.
• CCRN preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Ability to learn quickly, strong teamwork, and patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to up-to-date evidence-based research and standards of care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and care team regarding status and plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Electronic documentation of assessments, plans, interventions and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Multi-disciplinary discharging for safe transition and continuity of care.
