Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The role focuses on delivering evidence-based nursing care and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include medication administration with bar-scanning, thorough documentation in the electronic health record, patient education, and facilitation of safe discharges. New Jersey RN licensure and BLS/CPR are required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months of nursing experience or active Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program.
• 2 years of Emergency nursing experience preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care based on evidence-based policies and standards of care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, family, and healthcare team.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations in the EHR.
• Provide patient and family-centered education to optimize health and disease management.
• Discharge patients safely with appropriate follow-up and care coordination.
