Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is looking for a Registered Nurse in New Jersey to support patient care at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The RN will collect data, assess patients, plan care, educate patients and families, and coordinate discharges to ensure continuity of care.

Required: NJ nursing license, BLS/CPR, 1 year Med/Surg/Tele RN experience. BSN in progress or willing to pursue within 3 years. Competitive benefit package available.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• An active BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg/Tele RN experience is required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation.
• Performs age and disease specific assessment / data collection independently in a systematic manner focusing on physiologic, psychological and cognitive status.
• Develops a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Provides or coordinates patient / family education as needed and ensures understanding.
• Multi-disciplinary discharging of patients to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care.
