Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center to deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care. You will collaborate with the care team, administer medications with bar-scanning, and document at the point of care to ensure safety and excellence.

The role requires NJ RN licensure, BLS/CPR within 60 days, and a willingness to pursue further certifications. Experience in emergency nursing is preferred and BSN study is encouraged.

Qualifications

• NJ RN license required.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Minimum 6 months nursing experience or Nurse Residency program participant.
• 2 years Emergency nursing experience preferred.
• BSN in progress or willingness to pursue within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care guided by up-to-date evidence-based practices and standards of care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and care team regarding status and plans.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and electronic documentation tools.
• Document assessments and plans at the point of care.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Assist in safe patient discharge and transition of care.
