Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. This role delivers evidence-based nursing care, communicates with the care team, administers medications with bar-scanning technology, and documents care in electronic systems.

Qualified candidates will hold a New Jersey nursing license, have BLS/CPR, and ideally 6 months of nursing experience or participation in the Nurse Residency program. ACLS/CCRN and BSN in progress are preferred.

Qualifications

• New Jersey nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 6 months of nursing experience or active Nurse Residency program participation.
• Critical care experience preferred.
• ACLS preferred.
• CCRN preferred.
• BSN in progress or commitment to obtain within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per up-to-date evidence-based practices, policies, and care standards to ensure safe, individualized patient care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare team members about patient status and plans.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safety.
• Document patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations in the electronic system.
• Provide patient- and family-centered education to promote health and disease management.
• Discharge patients with safe transitions and continuity of care.
