Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Site Float Pool specializing in Med Surg and Orthopedic units at West Hospital. The RN will float to multiple departments and sites, coordinating care and documentation under supervision to ensure quality patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes flexibility, strong clinical skills, and collaboration with the health care team. Requires an active RN license, BLS, ACLS/PALS as assigned, and EPIC proficiency.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license in the designated state of employment (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• ACLS and PALS – based on specialty assignment (required).
• 1 year of experience as an RN in acute care (required).
• EPIC Electronic Health Record experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float within a single site or multiple sites across markets based on competency.
• Provide patient care across departments; assist with scheduling and staffing as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with the care team and document care and assessments.
