BayCare’s Bartow Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the ER Pool Nights. You will deliver high-quality emergency care and collaborate with a caring team in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes independent patient care, adherence to clinical standards, and effective communication with patients and families. Shift is 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with occasional weekend commitments.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's or higher in Nursing.
• Minimum 2 years ER experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to ER patients using the nursing process.
• Delegate appropriate care activities to team members.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
• Maintain clinical standards and documentation.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 2-year experience in the emergency department
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse - responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient's medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
• Professional accountability and development
