Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Winter Haven ER. The role requires providing compassionate, expert nursing care in a fast-paced hospital setting during the night shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM). You will work with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and ensure patient safety.

Requirements include RN license and nursing degree, with BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications preferred. BayCare offers strong benefits and opportunities for growth within a large health system.

Qualifications

• RN License required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the hospital setting, following nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate care activities to health care team members.
• Plan and update patient care in collaboration with patients and families.
• Monitor vitals, document assessments, and respond to emergencies.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
