BayCare’s Bartow Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ER on a part-time basis. The role involves delivering high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced hospital setting, with shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM and every other weekend.

The RN will work with a dedicated team in Bartow, FL, performing nursing duties, coordinating patient care, and ensuring patient safety. On-site work is required with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• RN License is required.
• 1 year ER nursing experience.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1 year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
• Professional accountability and development
