Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ER at St. Joseph's Hospital South in Riverview, FL. This full-time, in-person role requires 1 year of ER experience, acute care skills, and active state RN licensure with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Evening and night shifts with every other weekend are included, offering strong benefits and growth opportunities. The position emphasizes compassionate care, clinical excellence, and teamwork within a large health system.

Qualifications

• RN License required.
• Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's or higher in Nursing.
• 1 year ER nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Care for a group of patients in hospital settings using nursing process and standards.
• Delegate patient care activities to health-care team members.
• Update plan of care in collaboration with patients and families.
• Identify patients at risk and prepare room environment.
• Monitor and record patient vitals for the care team.
• Respond to medical emergencies for critical patients.
• Communicate clearly to simplify medical terminology for patients.

Requirements

• RN (Registered Nurse) License

The Registered Nurse - Responsibilities And Skills

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
