Job summary

BayCare is hiring an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a full-time role at Bardmoor Free Standing ER in Largo, FL. The RN will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ER, following nursing processes and collaborating with the health-care team. Qualified candidates hold an RN license and nursing degree (ASN/BSN), with BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

1 year ER experience is preferred. Shift 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM, every other weekend, on-site with competitive benefits and career growth

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• ER nursing experience is preferred (1 year).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required. The candidate should have a nursing degree (ASN/BSN).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a hospital ER setting.
• Delegate nursing tasks to other team members as appropriate.
• Assess, plan, and update patient care plans with families and care team.
• Monitor patient vitals, respond to emergencies, and document care.
• Maintain adherence to clinical standards and safety protocols.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
