Job summary

BayCare Health System in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the ER team at St. Joseph’s Hospital North. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care, applying the nursing process, and coordinating with the health care team to ensure patient safety.

You will work 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, be in person, and participate in weekend rotations every other weekend. A valid RN license and active certifications are required, with opportunities for mentorship and career growth within a

Responsibilities

• Cares for a group of patients in the hospital using the nursing process.

• Monitors patient vitals, identifies changes, and responds to emergencies.

Requirements

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – Responsibilities And Skills

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
