Job summary

Ascension is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join the Electrophysiology department at the Wauwatosa Ambulatory Center. The role focuses on clinical support, triage, patient education and device monitoring in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Candidates should have a BSN, RN licensure in WI (or MN as applicable), and BLS certification, with cardiac/hospital experience preferred. Day shift; no weekends required.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire; AHA or Red Cross accepted.
• RN licensure in Wisconsin or Minnesota prior to hire; multi-state/Compact eligibility.
• BSN degree required.
• Diploma from accredited nursing program; professional licensure at time of hire.
• Cardiac and hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support and assistance to healthcare providers.
• Triage patient calls, perform comprehensive nursing assessments, monitor patient status and document communications.
• Coordinate patient care and educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications and care needs.
• Monitor cardiac devices via interrogation and address potential device-related issues and safety concerns.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

What minimum requirements you’ll need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State. Licensure is dependent on state associate works in.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure is dependent on state associate works in.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
• BSN required
• Cardiac and hospital experience preferred, not required.

Additional Preferences

• 40 hours a week | M-F | No weekends or major holidays
• Electrophysiology/cardiac and hospital experience preferred, but not required.
