Job summary

Ascension Seton Northwest Hospital in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This night-shift, full-time role involves delivering direct nursing care and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Applicants should possess a Nursing Diploma, Texas RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications with ED experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire date (AHA/ARC).
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date (AHA/ARC).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire date (AHA/ARC).
• Registered Nurse credentialed by the Texas Board of Nursing prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

• Delivers high-quality direct nursing care by adhering to policies and safety protocols.
• Implements care plans and provides real-time documentation to the medical team.
• Acts as the hub for interdisciplinary coordination to synchronize treatment efforts.
• Carries out physician orders and leads discharge planning for safe transitions of care.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
