Job summary

Ascension in Luling, TX is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department on a full-time day shift. You’ll provide high-quality nursing care, coordinate with physicians, and monitor patient stability in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll assess conditions, document changes, and assist with discharge planning to ensure safe transitions of care. Requirements include RN license in Texas, ACLS within 6 months, BLS within 1 month, PALS within 6 months, and 1 year of ER experience

• ACLS within 6 months of hire or transfer
• BLS within 1 month of hire or transfer
• PALS within 6 months of hire or transfer

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care by implementing and monitoring specialized health care plans, ensuring patient stability and safety in a fast-paced emergency environment.
• Serve as the primary liaison between physicians and diverse clinical teams, advocating for patients to ensure all orders are executed with precision and care is seamlessly integrated.
• Expertly assess, record, and communicate evolving patient conditions, utilizing clinical expertise to identify critical changes and adapt interventions in real-time.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess and coordinate comprehensive discharge needs, ensuring patients have the resources and support required for successful transitions of care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

• 1 year of RN Emergency experience
